Terms & Conditions

TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

The following terms and conditions apply to all bookings made through Twiga Travel © 2020 – All Rights Reserved.

1. USE OF THE WEBSITE
1.1 The website is owned by Twiga Travel CC and is located within the Republic of South Africa.
1.2 Access and use of the website is entirely at own risk
1.3 Twiga Travel CC retains copyright of this website.
1.4 By accessing and using the website, the user accepts all Terms & Conditions contained in this website.

2. ACCOMMODATION
2.1 All bookings will be considered provisional until availability has been confirmed and the required deposit has been received.
2.2 Rates are per night sharing, on a per person basis, unless otherwise specified.
2.3 A 30% deposit is required and payable within 2 (two) days once the booking is made, by failure the provisional reservation will lapse.
2.4 The balance amount is payable within 30 (thirty) days before arrival.
2.5 The booking can only be confirmed once the deposit is received.
2.6 Check in time is from 15h00 untill 20h00 and check out time is no later than 10h00.
2.7 All clients will be required to sign an indemnity form at check in.
2.8 Should your requested safari, preferred accommodation or travel dates be unavailable at the time of your booking, we will try to find a suitable alternative for you, but a rate amendment may result herein.
2.9 Quotations are based on anticipated costs and are subject to amendment should these anticipated costs increase due to circumstances outside the control of Twiga Travel.
2.10 Twiga Travel reserves the right to change accommodation, vehicles, transport, guides, meals activities and other program details as may be necessary to the change of conditions and will always try to offer an alternative with the same value should any changes be necessary.
2.11 Twiga Travel is situated on Hoedspruit Wildlife Estate and guests are required to comply with the rules and regulations in place on the estate including but not limited to the strict noise control policies and speed limitations. Fines issued in this regard will be for the guests own account and in the event of an eviction no refunds will be made.

3. CANCELLATION
3.1 All cancellation requests must be sent in writing.
3.2 Should you need to cancel your booking, there will be cancellation fees charged.
3.3 The client will forfeit their 30% deposit when cancelling more than 30 days before their scheduled arrival date.
3.4 Should the client cancel within 30 days before their arrival date, 100% of the price will be forfeited.
3.5 Third parties that we have already paid (any lodge, hotel or other supplier) may have stricter cancellation penalties, in which case the third party’s cancellation policy will apply.
3.6 A client’s travel plans are made entirely at his own risk and Twiga Travel will not accept responsibility for any missed flights, problems with visas or travel documents, flight cancellations, delays, lost baggage, transport or traffic delays, bad weather or any other circumstances that may necessitate cancellation or amendments to your travel plans.
3.7 We do advise that comprehensive travel insurance be purchased with adequate cancellation and curtailment cover for any eventuality.

4. ACTIVITIES
4.1 Rates are subject to availability and are for specified activities only.
4.2 Clients undertake any activity at their own risk.
4.3 When entering the Kruger National Park (KNP), the client will be required to sign KNP’s indemnity form.
4.4 Twiga Travel cannot offer guaranteed Big 5 sightings or any other animal which may be requested.
4.5 We cannot be held responsible for adverse weather conditions, traffic problems, vehicle breakdowns or any other unforeseen circumstances that may lead to the cancellation of certain activities.
4.6 If it is possible to reschedule the activity to another day on the itinerary, we will, in partnership with the supplier of the activity, try to arrange the necessary.
4.7 If it is not possible to reschedule, we will attempt to secure a refund form the supplier on your behalf.
4.8 If the supplier does not offer a refund, Twiga Travel will not be able to offer you any refund.
4.9 For those suppliers where we are able to secure some kind of a refund, we will refund the client whatever net amount we were able to secure from the supplier, less an admin fee to cover our transaction costs.

5. INSURANCE
5.1 All clients are required to arrange their own comprehensive travel insurance and medical emergency insurance. Failure to do so will not influence our cancellation policy.
5.2 We advise that you take note of the details of your insurance policy to ensure that it has adequate cancellation and curtailment limits and covers any eventuality.

6. INDEMNITY
6.1 Twiga Travel and its staff accept no liability or responsibility for any damage, injury or loss of any kind whatsoever, including but not limited to death, disability, injury, property theft or damage, missed flights, missed accommodation, cancellation of your safari or activity or any such incident as may arise on your trip.
6.2 By booking a trip through Twiga Travel you agree that you are aware of the inherent risks associated with travel and you further agree to indemnify Twiga Travel from any claim or liability which may result from any kind of loss, injury or accident which may occur during or after or as a result of your tour.

7. EXPECTATIONS
7.1 Twiga Travel will discuss your expectations with you in the process of booking and conducting your safari, and will strive to meet them as far as is realistically possible, but we make no guarantees with regard to expected weather, game viewing or animal sightings, exact travel times, or any other unpredictable factors that may affect your expectations or safari experience.
7.2 Twiga Travel is very proud of our excellent reputation and will do our utmost best to make every experience the most memorable one.
